The One Feature I Couldn’t Launch Aloha Fit Without
When I started building Aloha Fit, I knew the site had to feel vibrant, inspiring, and easy to navigate. I wanted to highlight Hawaii’s stunning scenery and showcase everything that makes our gym stand out—with a strong visual impact that worked seamlessly on any device.
The one feature I absolutely couldn’t launch without? Sliders and carousels. These tools brought the site to life and played a key role in making the content dynamic, engaging, and easy to explore.
I used Slider Revolution to create powerful, image-rich headers and hero sections. The motion effects, layered text, and visuals gave the site energy and helped set the tone for each page from the moment visitors landed.
For organizing detailed content like gym locations, membership info, and even blog highlights, I turned to Smart Slider and carousel-style layouts. These allowed me to present multiple pieces of information—like addresses, hours, and each location’s vibe—without overwhelming the page. Carousels made it easy to swipe or click through key content in a clean, mobile-friendly way.
By using a mix of sliders and carousels across the site, I was able to keep things highly visual while still delivering useful info quickly and clearly. It made the site feel more interactive and helped visitors connect with the brand right away.
Want to see this feature in action? Check out the five-part Building Aloha Fit series below. This highlights what worked (and what didn’t!) during the design process—presented in a carousel format (although slightly different layout) used throughout the rest of the site.
